**Who I Serve**

Adults and Teens

**My Approach**

Humanistic Therapy, with a focus on Gestalt techniques

As a registered play therapist, I believe that using metaphor (with clients of all ages) can help access subconscious feelings related to life experiences. Therefore, I may utilize drawings, clay work, and images as metaphors to guide us away from overly analytical thinking and toward a deeper awareness of emotions.

Additionally, I am a certified sandtray therapist. In this approach, you will select from a wide variety of miniatures to create a scene in the sand that represents your world or story. Together, we will explore the significance of those miniatures to help you gain clarity about your inner experiences.

I will also explore ways our “inner communities” have encoded or imprinted on us and guide our experiences.

Is this a Match for you?

Gestalt therapy is particularly effective in helping individuals develop awareness, authenticity, and emotional insight. Due to its experiential and relational nature, it is well-suited for a wide range of concerns. Still, it particularly shines in areas where people feel disconnected, stuck, or have dulled their awareness of what is going on inside them.

  • Introspective adults (often caregivers, or creatives)

  • Spiritually curious or soul-seeking individuals

  • Highly sensitive people (HSPs)

  • Those who’ve “tried talking” but want to go deeper than surface-level coping.

  • Those who believe a focus on emotions, not behaviors, is a path to healing.

Often, we shut out the wise, inner voice from within for fear of discomfort or emotional pain. Your soul will never force, intimidate, or manipulate you into doing something you are not ready to experience. Once you allow the awareness in, you can respond from a more informed place.”

CLIENT FOCUS

  • Age groups (e.g., Adults and Teens) (my office does not have a playroom; I am not currently seeing child clients)

  • I do not see clients in crisis

  • Communities (LGBTQ+, Veterans, Black, Indigenous, and people of color [BIPOC] welcome)

  • Language (I understand and can read most Spanish but am limited in my speaking abilities). “Mi español es más coloquial que académico—nos vamos a entender."
